About NeuroDreaming®.

NeuroDreaming® was born from the meeting point of science and the subconscious — a place where REM physiology, symbolic imagery, and the quiet intelligence of the psyche converge. It is a method rooted in neurobiology, neuropsychology, physiology of sleep and dreaming, metacognition and creativity as a tool for conscious inner work, and shaped by Aneta’s lifelong lucid dreaming and more than fifteen years of professional experience working with dreams. But more than that, it is a philosophy: the belief that our inner world is not a mystery to be controlled, but a landscape to be explored with curiosity, courage, and compassion.

We believe that dreams are not random noise but meaningful expressions of the mind’s ongoing attempt to heal, integrate, and understand itself. We believe that lucid dreaming is not an escape from reality but an expansion of consciousness — a state where metacognition, emotion, and creativity meet in a uniquely transformative way. And we believe that awareness is a skill that can be trained, refined, and carried across the boundary between waking and dreaming.

NeuroDreaming® exists to help people build this bridge.

Through structured lucid dreaming practices, conscious drawing, visual art, coaching  and dialogical engagement with dream imagery, we cultivate the continuity of consciousness that allows individuals to meet themselves more deeply. It helps individuals cultivate metacognitive awareness across waking and dreaming states, accelerate lucid dream stability and incubation, transform nightmares, support trauma and anxiety integration, deepen emotional regulation, explore archetypes and the Shadow, enhance creativity, improve sleep quality, and foster spiritual growth and meaningful psychological change — not by imposing control, but by fostering relationship with the inner world.

NeuroDreaming® vision is a world where people feel at home within themselves.
A world where dreams are understood as teachers.
A world where the night is not a place of fear or forgetting, but a realm of insight, healing, and possibility.

NeuroDreaming® is an invitation to awaken — gently, steadily, and with profound respect for the mystery of the mind.

NeuroDreaming® Method

NeuroDreaming® is a science‑informed, original interdisciplinary method developed through many years of work with dreams, lucid dreaming, and creative psychological practices. It is not a single technique, nor merely a system for dream interpretation. NeuroDreaming® is a living methodology that unites waking awareness and dreaming consciousness into one continuous process.

The NeuroDreaming® method integrates four core practices:

  1. Lucid Dreaming
Awakening consciousness within the dream state to explore, transform, and understand inner experience.

  2. Symbolic Neural Drawing
A visual, symbolic dialogue with the subconscious that supports emotional regulation, neural reorganization, and creative insight.

  3. Metacognitive Training
Strengthening attention, self‑reflection, and the ability to observe thoughts and emotions with clarity.

  4. Conscious Dream Work
Understanding dreams, extracting meaning, and integrating dream knowledge into everyday life.

Together, these four pillars create a 24‑hour cycle of awareness.
Daytime practices enhance dream clarity and lucidity; nighttime experiences return with insights that reshape waking life. Over time, dreams become allies. When a person learns to relate consciously to their dreams, emotions, and creative impulses, something subtle but profound occurs — inner conflict gives way to cooperation. Meaning emerges not through force, but through attention.

The Fifth Pillar: Professional Support

For individuals who need guidance with a specific issue, or who prefer personal training, NeuroDreaming® also offers a fifth pillar:

5. Professional Support
Psychological counselling and guided sessions based on Symbolic Neural Drawing, lucid dreaming practices, dream interpretation and integration, or a comprehensive NeuroDreaming® approach.

Aneta Koleva is a British - Bulgarian researcher, educator, interdisciplinary practitioner and Author, who explores consciousness with the precision of a scientist and the curiosity of a dreamer. With master’s degrees in Biology and Psychological Counseвling, and fifteen years of applied dream research, she investigates the neural choreography that links REM sleep, metacognition, and emotional integration. Her method, NeuroDreaming®, synthesizes lucid dreaming science, neuroplasticity principles, and symbolic cognition into a structured pathway for cultivating awareness across states. Her work illuminates how the dreaming brain becomes a laboratory for insight, adaptation, and psychological growth.

Aneta is a certified Lucid Dreaming Facilitator, combining scientific literacy with creative, symbolic, and experiential methodologies. Her work bridges neuroscience, psychology, and contemplative practices to help individuals cultivate deeper self-awareness across both waking and dreaming states.

Aneta’s mission is to make dream‑based awareness training accessible, ethical, and scientifically grounded. Through her teaching, writing, groups and one‑on‑one work with clients, she guides individuals toward a more conscious, coherent, and compassionate relationship with their inner world — one dream at a time.

Aneta's vision is a world where dreams are recognized as luminous teachers — where every person can walk consciously through their inner night, guided by symbols that reveal truth, heal wounds, and reconnect them to the deeper currents of their being.

NeuroDreaming® envisions a global community awakening to the wisdom of the dreaming mind.
